Start With a Free Consultation

We start with a free 15-minute consultation. We’ll get a sense of what you’re dealing with, what you want to change, and what you’re looking for in a therapist.

You do not need to figure out which therapist to choose on your own. We’ll recommend the person we think is the best fit.

If it makes sense to move forward, we’ll schedule your first session.

Your First Session

You do not need to show up knowing exactly what to say or having everything figured out.

The first session is mostly about getting to know you and your story, understanding what’s been difficult, and getting clearer on what you want to change.

Our goal is for you to leave that first session with at least a few practical tools you can start using right away.

After that, you’ll start meeting either weekly or every other week with your therapist in order to keep making consistent progress.

Walk & Talk, Virtual, or Phone

Walk & Talk

If you’re doing Walk & Talk Therapy, we’ll tell you exactly where to meet. Parke meets clients at Robious Landing. Daniel and Devin meet clients at Pony Pasture. Most sessions are about a two-mile walk at whatever pace works for you. If weather gets in the way, we switch to virtual for that session.

Virtual

If you’re meeting virtually, you’ll receive a secure link before your appointment.

Phone

If you’re doing a phone session, we’ll call you at the scheduled time.

How Long Will I Be in Therapy?

Our goal is not to keep you in therapy forever. The goal is for therapy to stay in your life for as long as it continues to be useful.

Some guys make the changes they want after a few months, then taper back to once a month or reach out when they need us.

Others keep therapy as part of their lives on a weekly or every-other-week basis to process life as it happens. There’s no right or wrong answer here.
