Some clients receive partial reimbursement through out-of-network mental health benefits.

If you want to submit sessions to your insurance company, we can provide a superbill, which is an itemized receipt showing the services you received and what you paid. We can send one at the end of each month on request.

How to Check Your Out-of-Network Benefits

Call the customer service number on your insurance card and ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
  • What percentage of each therapy session is reimbursed?
  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible?
  • How much of that deductible have I already met?
  • How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

You can tell them you’ll be working with a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and paying privately for therapy.

Your insurance company determines whether and how much it reimburses.

Payment

We accept major credit and debit cards, including HSA and FSA cards. A card is securely kept on file and charged after each session.

Good Faith Estimate

Under federal law, clients who do not use insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of care. If you would like one, just ask and we’ll provide it.

Cancellation Policy

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. We understand that actual emergencies happen, including illness, accidents, or a sick child.

Late Cancellations

Work conflicts and last-minute scheduling problems are different. We work with busy people, and therapy only works if there is room in your life to show up consistently. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged the full session fee.
